The history of bobbers began when soldiers returning from WWII started tinkering with motorcycles at that time. Dissatisfied with the existing models, they started chopping off these motorcycles and reassemble them using parts from stock motorcycles. The popularity of bobbers only diminished when it gave way to chopper.

One monster bobber in the market is the 2006 Lucky Strike Bobber. It is a compact and great looking bike with a Harley Davidson EVO engine and with controls comparable to Harley. The motor is quiet and vibration free. Made by Swift Motorcycle Company, this bobber has a final chain drive to make it more compact. Considering the 2006 Lucky Strike Bobber’s net weight of around 520 pounds; it is astoundingly light to drive. Its comfortable low seat is 24 inches above the ground level. By the way, dry weight of this road monster is 430 pounds. Positioned in the center and on top of the handlebars is a very readable speedometer which is clear even in harsh sunlight. The front wheels are DNA Specialties 3.5 inches 40 spoke while rear is DNA Specialties 3.5" 40 spoke. The Lucky Strike Bobber has Metzeler (Wide White Wall) 130/90-16 front tire which provides a solid feel to the ride. The rear tires are Metzeler (Wide White Wall) 150/80 B16. The front suspension is Hydraulic FL Style or DNA springer option. With all the features of this solid riding; this bobber from Swift with an MSRP of $15,900 will be a popular choice in the Swift line.
